Nestled in the gently rolling hills of Oltrepò Pavese, near the town of Montebello della Battaglia and not far from Pavia (20 km) and Milan (60 km), Agriturismo Cascina Pozzarello was created in 2012 by the Allegrini family, a business that represents a unique example of centuries-old Lombardy farming tradition.
The dining areas occupy the original farmhouse and the old barn. It is ideal for evening meals, lunches and corporate events, receptions, parties and ceremonies. Every detail is scrupulously taken care of, with furnishings, fresh flowers and decorative elements carefully designed to create a warm and tasteful atmosphere in keeping with the rural setting. The menu is fully seasonal, and all the food served is produced on the farm to guarantee complete authenticity. The meal begins with antipasti, a variety of our own cold cuts with respective side dishes. The first courses are followed by the meat course accompanied by cooked vegetables and a seasonal salad, with a fresh fruit dessert to finish. Our wines are served freely and are included in the price of the meal. For more demanding clients we have a small list of local and non-regional red and white wines available by the bottle. The restaurant is open for lunch and supper on weekdays and holidays and personalized menus can be arranged.
Agriturismo Cascina Pozzarello has twelve rooms with independent entrance - eight doubles, two singles, and two for disabled guests, each with en suite bathroom, independent heating, air conditioning and television. The price is € 40 per person comprising bed and breakfast.
The Allegrini family has run the farm for over fifty years, producing the genuine traditional flavours of Lombardy to the highest quality. 130 hectares are under wheat, barley, maize and alfalfa. The vineyards cover 15 hectares with different red and white grape varieties and the fruit and vegetables are grown and picked to ensure the finest fresh produce for our guests The cows, pigs and farmyard animals (hens, chickens and rabbits) are fed exclusively on our own crops. Our in-house CE marked abattoir and food processing annex are a further guarantee of health and safety standards and quality controlled meats used in the preparation of the cold cuts and delicious dishes served in the restaurant.
